Dog-friendly getaways

The Norfolk Broads has plenty of pet-friendly routes to travel and we have lots of recommendations on our website, such as the three-day route from Stalham to Acle, with several great stops on the way. Explore more here.

With our range of dog-friendly boats, you’re sure to find one to suit your needs, and no experience is required to head off on your own boating adventure, as we’ll give you a full demonstration on how to drive your boat and instructions for the facilities on board. You can also save precious pennies that would otherwise be spent on a kennel by bringing your dog on a holiday with us, as we have a fixed rate of just £35 for dogs on holidays up to seven nights, with a maximum of two pets per boat.

All you need to bring for your pet is their everyday essentials such as food, bedding, bowls, leads and doggy bags, plus a life jacket (we have a selection available if needed). Please note, we advise preventing your dog from drinking from rivers and swimming for safety reasons.

The 18-mile round trip from Aylsham to Wroxham on the Bure Valley Railway is also totally dog-friendly and costs just £4 per dog. Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome in select areas at Wroxham Barns – a perfect stop for a spot of retail therapy, with tasty food and drink and seasonal attractions to try too.
