Before you come FAQs

Please note: If your circumstances have changed within your party, we must stress that there still has to be at least two adults over the age of 18 on board at all times. It is also important to note that you must not exceed the berthage of the cruiser for any reason, regardless of whether it is an adult, child or infant. If you do have any changes to your party, please call the team on 01692 668986.

Do we need to bring our own bedding?

No – we will provide bedding for you, all you need to do is make sure you’ve returned your bedding requirements from your booking confirmation. If you still need to do this, don’t worry – please login to our online portal and enter this information here.

Do we need to bring our own towels?

If you are holidaying on our classic fleet then you will need to bring your own towels. Towels are provided on our Platinum fleet.

Is there anything else we need to bring?

We provide all cooking facilities and utensils – we advise you bring provisions including cleaning materials and toilet rolls.

What can we do in the Broads National Park?

There’s lots to do and, depending on your holiday duration, many different routes you can take. For some route ideas, please see our route guides here.

What time can I check-in

Please refer to your booking confirmation. This will state your start time. It is important you do not turn up prior to this start time as we cannot permit you access to the marina. If you are going to be late, use our online portal to let us know. Boats must be returned to the base they were collected from by 9.00 am – 9.30 am on the final day of hire in a clean condition.

What do I need for check-in?

You just need your booking confirmation. The following information must be sent to us in advance via our online portal:

  • Car registration
  • Colour
  • Make
  • Mobile Number
What if I am going to arrive late?

Our offices close strictly at 5:00pm. If you are going to arrive after this, please call us in advance so we can make arrangements with you. You can reach us on:

Can I park at the marina and is there a charge for parking?

There is free parking outside for the duration of your holiday.

How many vehicles can I bring?

There is no restriction on how many vehicles you can bring.

Can I bring my slow cooker / hair straighteners / hair dryer / other electrical appliance?

No – only electrical items provided by us are permitted for use on board. We can provide hair dryers free of charge – please call the team on 01692 582 277 with your booking reference handy to request this.

Can I bring my nebuliser / other electric-powered medical equipment?

No – only electrical items provided by us are permitted for use on board. If you have any queries regarding this please call the marina.

Do I need to bring my infants cot / cot side / highchair?

We do have travel cots, cot sides and highchairs available for hire for a small charge – again please call 01692 582 277 with your booking reference handy to book these – however you will need to bring your own bedding for these.

Do I need to bring my own map?

We will leave a map on board your cruiser. Alternatively, you can download an app which features information on the Broads including a map for your smartphone or other compatible device – the app is called Aweigh and you can download it here*.

Can I plug my phone charger straight in, or do I need an adaptor?

12V cruisers do require an adaptor for phone charging – like the one you would use in your car. 240V cruisers have a standard electrical socket – however this does not mean you can use your own electrical appliances such as slow cookers or hair straighteners.
