In Beccles is Beccles Lido, voted as one of the best things to do in the Suffolk region. Featuring an open-air swimming pool, this volunteer-run attraction is open from the end of May until the start of September. You might also like to make your way to the top of the Beccles Bell Tower, which is a free-standing feature of St Michael’s Church at 97 feet high. For a small charge, you can see stunning views of Beccles and the surrounding area. There is also Beccles Museum, which was once a boys’ school but today looks at the area’s past with a few exhibits to take in and is a free day out in the summer months.
