Oakfired at the Royal Oak Bar and Restaurant in Beccles is a PAPA Gold Award ‘Best Independent Pizzeria’ 2017, serving authentic Neapolitan pizza, a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed product, cooked before your eyes in their wood-fired oven!

Also serving Italian inspired seasonal food using locally sourced and Desginated Origin Protected ingredients where possible, Oakfired has a selection of local beers, ales, ciders and high quality wines on offer. Just 2 minutes’ walk between Beccles Quay and the town centre, Oakfired welcomes families, those who require gluten-free and dogs are also welcome!

Pizza Piatto offers a huge selection of appertizers, salads, meats, fish, mussels, pizzas and fresh pasta. During the week at Pizza Piatto the restaurant is a pleasant and quiet place for family, friends and couples to have a meal. At the weekend the restaurant is more lively! The restaurant is uniquely decorated with posters, paintings and photographs of Hollywood stars and of course, lots of Italian references including The Godfather and Goodfellas.

Opening Times:

  • Monday – Thursday 4pm-11pm.
  • Friday & Saturday 12pm-3pm and 4pm-midnight.
  • Sunday 12pm-3pm and 4pm-11pm.

On the menu (£6.50-£18.00):

  • Avocado tricolore – avocado, mozzarella and tomato with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and parmesan shaving.
  • Grigliatta di Pesce – seafood platter, chargrilled mixed fish in aromatic herbs and garlic, ginger and chilli.
  • Luigis Agnello Fornello – lamb shoulder served with vegetables, potato and mixed bean gravy.
  • Lasagne alla Positano – homemade lasagne, vegetarian or meat between layers of pasta, cheese and creamy béchamel sauce, with a choice of chips or salad.

During the day Baileys offers traditional fare from around the world in their downstairs Deli. Upstairs however you can enjoy a fine dining experience in their bistro, with a Spanish influenced menu up for grabs.

Upstairs at Baileys serves both lunch (Mon-Sat) and dinner (Fri-Sat), with varied and creative dishes for all to enjoy. There is a lunch menu of the day that is served Mon-Sat for £13.50 pp. You can enjoy your choice of starter, main course and desert. If you fancy something more relaxed, then you can simply have a tapas meal in the bar at the Deli.
