Richardson’s Boating Holidays Proudly Sponsors the Museum of the Broads

We’re proud to announce our new sponsorship of the Museum of the Broads, located in Stalham – a partnership that reflects both our heritage and our future.

As a business that has been part of the Broads for generations, we understand the importance of preserving and celebrating the stories that make this area so special. That’s why we’re delighted to be supporting the Museum in its charitable mission to bring the stories of the Broads alive, with new exhibitions and activities that educate and inspire.

The Museum of the Broads is a vital part of our cultural landscape. Staffed by volunteers, the museum plays a crucial role in telling the stories of local communities, waterway development, boatbuilding traditions, tourism, and the people who shaped life in the Broads.

Greg Munford, CEO of Richardsons Leisure Limited, said:

“The Broads are not just where we operate – they’re part of who we are. Supporting the Museum of the Broads means helping to protect and share the legacy of this landscape for future generations. It’s a natural fit for us, and we’re honoured to play a part in preserving that history.”

Richardson’s is also contributing our own family history to the museum’s collection, helping to share how Boatyards like ours have shaped boating on the Broads for generations.

The Chair of Trustees at the Museum of the Broads added:

“We’re thrilled to have Richardson’s Boating Holidays as a sponsor. Their support allows us to develop our collections and to continue telling the stories that define this special part of the world. We’re especially excited to showcase our new History of Boating on the Norfolk Broads exhibition sharing stories from Richardson’s long family history in the Broads.”

We encourage all our guests and local residents to visit the Museum of the Broads, discover its fascinating exhibits, and take a step back in time through the waterways that continue to shape the Norfolk landscape.
